The Alcove Perspective of the Filipinas Heritage
Library is organizing its last batch of Digital 101:
Photography and the Computer by Jay Alonzo workshop on
October 6, 13 and 20 at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Digital 101 discusses the basic understanding of what
affects photographic output, how important light is in
photography, and how image is captured or enhanced in
the digital workflow.
Apart from this course being an extensive one, The
Alcove limits the class size and has a workshop
assistant on stand by to ensure supervision of each
participant. The lecture, which is aided by a
continuously improving AV presentation, is
interspersed with actual photo shoots as immediate
application of the lecture followed by photo
critiquing sessions to closely observe individual's
improvement.
Teaching for more than 10 years now, Jay Alonzo is
considered as one of the country's leading
photography-workshop instructors. His works have been
published and shown in one-man shows. His latest
exhibit, Pictorial Tales of Boracay, is on display at
The Alcove photo gallery until October 6.
Workshop fee is Php 4,000.00 inclusive of handouts,
meals, computer use, and certificate. Due to the
limited number of slots, interested participants are
requested to register on or before September 29 by
placing a partial payment of at least Php500.00
(non-refundable). A 10% discount will be extended to
those who will settle the payment in full on or before
the deadline.
The workshop is conducted at the Filipinas Heritage
Library, which is conveniently located along Makati
Avenue, Ayala Triangle, Makati City (across The
Peninsula Manila). Parking spaces are also provided
for participants free of charge.
