I recently wrote a mini-review of Backlinks a while back, and told you that I would update you once I've sold my first Backlinks ad. Well, it just came to pass.

Yup, if you look at my PinoyFilm.com site, you will see an ad on the left side called Online Business. That, my friends, officially is my first Backlinks ad worth a whopping $2, PinoyFilm.com being a PR3 site or a site with Google Page Rank 3 -- if it were a PR4 site, I would have earned $3, as I actually did with my WriteLit.com site.

So the initial sale was actually on WriteLit.com? Well, yes and no. I received the free $3 because the Backlinks code on my site was being tested by the Backlinks people because they couldn't find the code initially. They sent a test link, which after some time finally appeared  -- and that's why I got the $3. Hope they don't charge it to my account later hehe.

By the way, if you are using Drupal, and you want to make the Backlinks ad appear only on the front page -- there are no site-wide ads on Backlinks only sub-page links, i.e., you can sell a link on individual pages. (So actually you can earn more money with Backlinks than Text Link Ads if you play it right.) --  you should just enter the <front> tag in the 'Page specific visibility settings' of your Drupal block.

So dally no longer, head on out to Backlinks and start a new source of online income.
