Alex Tew, the instant millionaire who gave us the Million Dollar Homepage is running a contest called Pixelotto. He has created another “pixel advertising” page, and all you have to do is register and start clicking. A person can only have one account and can click up to ten times a day.

The contest is funded by the advertising; advertisers get to buy as many pixels as they want at $2 a pixel. Since there are one million pixels, the contest will earn 2 million dollars, and half of it will go to the winner, who will be drawn one month after all the pixels are sold (or after 12 months, whichever comes first; in the case of the latter, the prize will be half of the total advertising earnings). Aside from his $1,000,000 winnings, the winner also gets to give $100,000 (or 10% of half of the advertising revenue, in case the advertising earnings do not reach $2,000,000 after a year) to a charity of his choosing.

Some tips. Remember to sign in before clicking. The site will remind you how many clicks you have made for the day. When clicking on the ads, do not right click since your click will not be registered. Left click instead on the ads. Once an ad is clicked, the site will tell you to wait before clicking again since your click is being registered. When the site is done registering your click, the site will highlight the ad which you have just clicked and will tell you how many clicks you have left. Then you can click again. Once you have used up your 10 clicks for the day, the site will tell you to come back the following day.

Also, be sure to click as many ads as possible since when choosing a winner, an ad will be chosen at random, and the winner will also be randomly chosen from those who clicked on that particular ad.

The more clicks you register at the site, the greater the chance for you to win that $1,000,000. As of this writing, the pixels are running out fast with the total prize fund currently at $129,200.
